"Cheer" them on for a successful trail endeavour
Posted Feb 16, 2012 By EMC NewsEMC Lifestyles -The EOTA, the Municipality of Tweed and the Township of Tyendinaga have partnered to develop a trail between the Tweed Community Centre and the Tyendinaga Recreation Centre and will have a direct link to the surrounding EOTA trails.
An application for $50,000 was submitted to the Molson Coors "Community Cheer" project and has been selected to the next phase and now is featured on their web site.

The funding will go toward the development of this trail. "We are pushing our community to 'Cheer us on' in this amazing opportunity that we have," says Tyendinaga Township Reeve Rick Phillips. "Not only will the funding help develop the trail, it will give the two municipalities an opportunity to promote recreational activities which will benefit over 10,000 community residents. Please take a moment and cheer for us."
"We are asking for all the support we can get, from within our communities and beyond," says Tweed Reeve Joanne Albert. "We need to show the funding body that a donation to support active living in our communities is a good investment."
