EMC Lifestyles - Everyone is invited to take part in the March on Thursday, March 8, leaving from Bridge Street United Church, 60 Bridge Street East at 11:30 a.m.

Make your own sign or use one of the available signs. Bring eco-friendly brown bag lunch. Coffee, tea, water and cookies will be provided.

At 12:15, we will show a 24-minute documentary of the human rights movement of Women of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA). The movie will show how since 2003, the women organize, march and persevere in spite of threats, beatings and arrests for the futures of their children.

There will also be two speakers. A Loyalist Col-lege Social Services Worker student will talk about how we can support the younger generation and a representative of the YMCA will talk about their "TAG" program. The event should be finished by 1:15 p.m.

Schools, women's groups and youth groups have been invited to participate. This is an all-inclusive event.

The International Women's Day committee consists of Amnesty International Group 111 Belleville, the Belleville Public Library and John M. Parrott Art Gallery, the Canadian Federation of University Women Belleville and District, Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Response Program with Quinte Health Care, the Quinte Grannies for Africa, the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District, the Three Oaks Foundation, and the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre.
