EMC Lifestyles - Wondering about good activities for your children over March Break? Look no further than Belleville Public Library's Children's Department. We have been busy planning a week of stories, crafts, activities and games.

Our March Break program starts with a bang on Monday, March 12, at 11 a.m. when Big Kid Entertainment will present the interactive play Jack about the Beanstalk. For just $2 per person your family can enjoy a professional theatrical experience. Children two and under are admitted free of charge. Tickets are now available for purchase in the library.

The rest of our March Break programs for the week are free, so register today to reserve your spot. On Tuesday, March 13, at 10:30 a.m.,

children four to seven years old need only bring their imagination and creativity to make a wonderful mask. We'll help your little one become a beautiful butterfly, ferocious tiger or whatever else they want to be.

Do you have a LEGO expert at your house? We invite kids ages five to twelve to build a LEGO creation at home and bring it to the library on March 13 at 2 p.m. for a chance to win a prize and have their work displayed in the John M. Parrott Art Gallery. For contest details please check our web site < www.bellevillelibrary.com>.

On Wednesday, March 14, there will be Enchanting Tales for kids ages four to seven at 10:30 a.m. Come dressed up as your favourite fairy tale character, enjoy a puppet show and make a crown. At

2 p.m. children eight and up will discover life in Medieval Times and, yes, they should be prepared to eat with their hands and try to juggle ... although not necessarily at the same time!

Scaredy Squirrel is such a favourite that we've given him his own March Break program on March 15 at 10:30 a.m. He will be joined by other Melanie Watts characters and kids four to seven years old will learn how to draw Chester the cat.

Thursday afternoon will be all about The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Join us at 2 p.m. to show us how much you know about the books

or suffer the dreaded Cheese Touch! There will also be a gummy worm estimation contest and an opportunity to create a "zoo wee mama" comic strip.

Don't miss our grand finale "Munchies Munsch Party" on Friday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome as we enjoy the books of Canada's favourite children's author, Robert Munsch!

Space is limited, so drop by the Children's, Youth and Readers' Services desk to register or call 613-968-6731 #2235. Pick up your child's ticket to March Break Fun and your ticket to a stress-free week!
