Belleville Police report
Posted Feb 16, 2012 By EMC NewsEMC News -Belleville -At approximately 9:10 p.m. on February 13, 2012, officers attended a North Front Street business to investigate a report of an assault. A disgruntled customer had exited the store and began to kick over a planter when he was confronted by another male entering the building. The first male then punched the second once in the face before leaving on foot. The suspect is described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years of age, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a black ball cap, a black pea coat, and blue jeans. The victim was taken to Belleville General Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries. Break-in
At approximately 10:45 p.m. on February 13, 2012, officers were dispatched to a report of an intrusion alarm at a Front Street business. On arrival they found the front door lock had been spun and an unknown suspect had gained entry. It was later discovered that two Honda electric guitars had been stolen from inside. The investigation is continuing.
